Network administrator 

Requirements:

·        Studies: Bachelor´s Degree in Computer Systems or related. Certifications plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·        Experience: At least 3 years of progressive experience in networks and network security, including VPN's, business routing and L3 switching.

·        Network equipment (Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, etc.), servers, VMWare, Vsphere, Vcenter Windows Server, SQL Server, storage, Active Directory AWS cloud experience desirable. 

    3+ years in business network design and implementation

    3+ years in firewall/switch technologies

Horario:

·        Availability: Full time.

Preferred Certifications: CCNA, CCDA, NSA4, CCDP, CCNP

Preferably Cisco, Fortinet or any industry standard network certification

Main Activities:

·        30% Design and deploy regional LAN, WAN and wireless networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless APs and other hardware, while providing protection against disasters through redundancy and recovery procedures, working both independently and as part of a team.

·        30% Analyze the performance of the network, solve problems and make appropriate decisions independently to repair as deemed necessary.

·        20% Create and maintain documentation related to configuration of the network, network mapping, processes and service records.

·        20% Maintain and manage configurations, ensuring that appropriate documentation is completed, and processes are followed.

·        Design and implement regional LAN, WAN and wireless networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless APs and other hardware.

·        Work closely with the IT teams of customers to comply with and exceed, compliance and design standards.

·        Create and maintain the documentation related to network configuration, network mapping, processes and service records.

·        Continually evaluate the current state of the network against the best industry practices and provide recommendations to improve performance and reduce failures through the use of the redundancy and the process.

·        Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and processes for network management, utilization and disaster recovery to include continuous improvement.

·        Interact and negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors and contractors to procure network products and services.

·        Work individually or with a team on new and existing equipment, hardware and software updates.

·        Maintain and manage configurations, ensuring proper documentation is completed and processes are followed.

·        Supervise network performance, solve problems and make decisions necessary to repair as needed.

·        Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephone equipment, firewalls and other network devices.

·        Configure networks to guarantee reliable operation and availability to comply with business objectives and processes.

·        Maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, VPN concentrators, including associated software and peripheral devices.

·        Practice the management of network assets using the CMDB, including the maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specification information.

·        Periodically supervise and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.

·        Participate in the management of all network security solutions.

·        Perform network and security audits ensuring that all systems have a backup copy and that recovery procedures are in place.
