Operations Lead Nearshore Hub
Purpose:
This role leads the Nearshore Hub for Product Supply operations for North America. The position plays a critical role in establishing the Service Center, building up a high-performing teams and fostering collaboration between the Nearshore Hub and teams in the U.S. and Canada. The primary objectives of the role are to drive a unified team mentality (irrespective of activity location), to provide leadership, guidance and motivation for the local team, and to support team members to gain a deep understanding of the North American culture and market environment.
The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for all activities covering Supply Chain Management, Demand Planning, Project Management, Distribution & Logistics, Digital (Systems, Analytics & Master Data), and administrative support according to regionally defined activity splits.
The position holder is responsible to build up the new Regional Product Supply operations to ensure successful transitions of in scope activities from the U.S. & Canada to the Nearshore Hub. The candidate will lead a dynamic team responsible for supply performance at the Service Center. The role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership capabilities, and a focus on driving innovation, cost efficiency, and superior service levels. The successful incumbent collaborates closely with the Category Supply Leads & Regional Capability Pool Leads to ensure alignment of business objectives and to foster a culture of continuous improvement and value creation.

Location: Mexico City. Long-term Assignment (LTA) possible, duration of about 3 years. No remote work.
Key Tasks:
End-to-End Performance: Lead the Regional NA Product Supply operations in the Nearshore Hub, including talent, performance management and continuous improvement, taking full accountability for service levels and cost. Ensure that all aspects of the nearshored product supply activities are optimized to meet business targets and customer expectations
Team Leadership: Act as VACC (Visionary, Architect, Coach and Catalyst) to build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of professionals at the Service Center location, promoting a collaborative and innovative work environment within the center and with local based employees, as one team.
People Development: Collaborate with NA Capability Pool Leads to shapes employee development, evaluation, compensation and career path based on skills; build a diverse, inclusive home where members share and support each other to build their expertise; recruit, hire, and onboard new employees?, based on work team requirements
Customer Capability Development: Cultivate NA business acumen and culture within the Nearshore Hub, with a focus on understanding market particularities (customer & consumer behavior, NA current brand portfolio & strategy) and establishing a customer centric mindset
Process Excellence: Identify and drive continuous improvement and sharing of best practices across teams & Shared Service Center Operations. Streamline activities by benchmarking with other operations. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and supply chain trends, fostering a culture of innovation within the team and across the organization. Drive digitalization, standardization, harmonization, and automation of processes
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as driving force and play a pivotal role in establishing and nurturing collaboration between the Service Center and U.S. and Canaca based teams. Cultivate a cohesive team mindset, regardless of the location of activities. Act with an in-depth understanding of the local businesses and processes
Team Capability: Support teams to learn in rapid cycles and build capabilities needed to create value for customers and other stakeholders. Ensure operations resources are continuously staffed with the right number and skill level resources, according to the NA Category/Capability Pool Leads requirements. Ensure a cross-trained and multi-skilled, pro-active team. Drive continuous expertise building in the line organization to manage processes and business requirements
Strategic Partnerships: Partner with internal and external stakeholders, advocate for local business needs, and manage and support integration of new processes and further projects/ product supply activities

Qualification & Competencies:
Bachelor's degree or master's degree with multi-functional experience in Manufacturing, External Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Demand Planning, Business Planning, Project Management, and Operational Excellence/LEAN
Ideal candidate is subject matter expert in 2-3 key functional areas listed above
Detailed knowledge of North American customers, CH business units, and requirements
Demonstrated VACC skills (Visionary, Architect, Coach and Catalyst) leading teams and multi-functional team collaboration
Extensive experience in shared services and/or outsourcing environments
Experience in successful organizational transformation and change management initiatives
Exceptional people leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others
Experience in planning, forecasting, project management, external manufacturing related experience within the Consumer Product, Consumer Health, CPG or OTC industry.
Detailed knowledge of integrated planning systems functionality, must have working knowledge of ERP systems, SAP/APO preferred
Digital mindset and profound experience in data analytics and automation
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with all levels of the organization and external partners to concisely influence executive leadership peers
Affinity for servant leadership, situational awareness, continual improvement and transparency

English fluent, spoken and written
