Education and Experience.

Required:

· Bachelor's in computer science, engineering, or related field.

· 6+ years relevant experience.

· Bilingual – English & Spanish.

Certifications.

Preferred:

· ISTQB.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities.

Required:

· Ability to communicate with users or business users to define key features or risks.

· Ability to determine functional and non-functional scenarios based on requirements.

· Ability to write test cases to validate the requirements.

· Ability to live demo the success of testing to the business or stakeholders.

· Reports and tracks defects according to the Defect Management process.

· Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

· Coordinates and/or participates in revisions, inspections, and walkthroughs.

· Communicates test results to the Test Lead.

· Collect and report test metrics.

· Understand the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

· Understand the Waterfall, Agile, and/or Safe methodology.

· Able to work with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Slack (or similar applications).

· Project management tools (Jira or similar).

· Test management tools (Zephyr, Qtest, TestRail, or similar).

· Ability to use a test matrix and follow its traceability.

· Ability to perform test estimation based on the requirements.

· Ability to collaborate with the test leads to understand the test plan and test strategy.

Preferred:

· Testing Process Experience (Planning; Monitoring and Control; Analysis; Design; Implementation; Execution (Cycle Effort); Completion).

· Test Levels (Component testing, Integration testing, System testing, Acceptance testing).

· Test Types (Functional testing, Non-functional testing, Confirmation testing, Regression testing).

· Understand the defect life cycle -reported, open, fix, fix validation, reopen, closed, rejected-) hands-on.

· Knowledge of SQL to query data.

· Data and integration validation.

· Understand the life insurance terms and flow to process a policy, claims, and all actors in a policy.

· Ability to manage ambiguous objectives with poorly defined constraints.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, including with non-technical stakeholders.

· Ability to mentor and coach team members.

· Attention to detail.
