Tabber Technician
The Tabber Technician is responsible for the preventive maintenance of equipment used in the manufacturing process to ensure the successful execution of production activities, all in accordance with high industry standards and within manufacturing timescales. This position is located in Georgia, and will offer TN Visa sponsor, relocation and accommodation support among other benefits.
Responsibilities
- Ensure cleanliness of machine and machine components by using hose, air guns, IPA, cloths, vacuum, and other appliances.
- Disassemble machines and remove parts for replacement or repair using chain falls, hand tools, and jacks.
- Examine or carry out tasks on broken machine parts, identify defective parts, or give recommendations to supervisors on repair requirements.
- Replace, fix, or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications.
- Apply adhesives, lubricants, or other materials to machines or their parts, as well as other equipment, according to stated procedures.
- Reassemble machine parts after completing maintenance and repair work.
- Remove hardened material from machines or machine parts using power and hand tools, jack and sledgehammer, abrasive materials, and other appliances.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of the company.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Technical degree or higher.
- 0–1 years of experience in handling machines and machine parts.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance processes.
- Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctions.
- Discipline to execute tasks without procrastination.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to execute orders in a timely manner.
- Proficiency with basic tools.
- Strong knowledge of safety precautions.
- Pneumatic parts replacement (simple troubleshooting).
- Pneumatic cylinder sensor position adjustment (simple troubleshooting).
- Vacuum pad replacement (simple troubleshooting).
- Knowledge of basic tabber functions (e.g., alarm resets).
- Ability to perform jig repairs.
- Ability to illustrate general maintenance requisites and simple operational procedures for various pumps (reciprocating, centrifugal, vane, etc.).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled environment.
- Assertive, able to cope with pressure, and a team player.
