This person will be in charge of ensuring that our process complies with the different customs regulations such as: the correct application of import value methods, confirming the calculation of the insurance value of the goods, that the instructions to the AA are correctly transmitted, among others.
Crucial functions/responsibilities:
Audit the correct and adequate calculation and application of funds for the payment of taxes of the petitions of the different foreign trade operations, through the monthly use of data stage, in addition to making a comparison of the expenses of the operations.
Audit and manage the correct compliance of electronic file documents.
Manage when an import and/or export operation requires consultations with the customs authority and agent to ensure correct compliance with said operations such as tariff classifications, value methods, etc.
Manage and carry out procedures such as: Request for Automatic Notices, Technical Justification Letters, NOM Certifications of materials before the different government entities (SE, SENER, CNSNS, etc.) or before the corresponding certifying bodies.
Monitoring of IMMEX operations
Attend and respond to different requests from internal areas of a possible sale regarding the possible application of restrictions on the import of materials. In either case, this position is responsible for keeping that information updated (releasing or blocking) within the material master in SAP.
Keep the current list of parties already restricted by the government up to date.
Give attention to our headquarters by approving or rejecting the shipment of materials if any of these apply to NOM.
Review and send clear instructions to the customs agent for the correct delivery of shipments in national territory according to user requests (they can be standard or urgent shipments)
Control, review and comply in a timely manner with all the necessary documentation for import, export and return shipments of merchandise.
Coordinate, manage and monitor operations (imports and exports) together with import analysts, before customs agents.
Support Function:
Provide support when required-to the Operational Imports team for the import and export clearance of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Professional degree requirements:
Bachelor's or graduate degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration or related careers.
Experience Requirements:
5 to 8 years of experience in this position.
Proficient use of the Microsoft Office suite and SAP.
Ability to review and interpret import regulations, corporate policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
Participate in continuing education on customs and trade regulations to stay up to date and identify risks and/or opportunities.
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills English (written and verbal).
