JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for assessing and introducing sales demand in the plant by organizing monthly demand in coordination with value stream managers. It assesses risks and chooses strategy optimization, while also supporting projects that include new business and product launches.
It ensures that the production department meets its quality assurance and scheduling objectives by planning, scheduling, executing and directing production activities.
Lead production control resources, resolve priorities, assess and mitigate risks, improve current production and inventory control systems and techniques to improve productivity. Responsible for all plant control routines, maintaining plant stock levels and overdue quantities in all administrative work centers of the factory. Responsible for defining priorities, expediting deliveries and defining overtime when necessary.
Manages the Shipping department by instructing priorities ensuring monthly deliveries of Customers' orders.
He directs the Reception department to ensure the availability of material to supply the factory's monthly demand.
DUTIES
1. Assess sales demand and organize plant managers to ensure capacity coverage.
2. Liaison with the Purchasing department to organize, communicate and ensure the capacity coverage of suppliers.
3. Organizes and leads the identification of risks in time, to generate and implement countermeasures.
4. Communicate to the Master Planning team about risks and sales delivery dates.
5. Organize receiving resources to secure factory manufacturing orders and support warehouse receipts.
6. Drop shipping resources to ensure customer orders are delivered on time.
7. Resources of the Reception and Shipments department abroad, both Wages and Hours, in order to have a path of continuous improvement.
8. Support and sponsor self-directed teams to deliver on Lean initiatives.
9. Evaluates and executes decisions to increase, decrease, and release shop orders after reviewing master planning requirements and plant control. Priority changes for capital teams should come from Central Planning. Responsible for communicating priorities to the Plant.
10. Interact with Purchasing and Suppliers when needed to expedite parts shipment to maintain shop order start dates through manufacturing.
11. Coordinates, directs, and initiates projects to improve system efficiency, accuracy, and integrity.
12. Supervises and directs all administrative functions pertaining to assigned departments.
13. Link between manufacturing and information systems.
14. Link between shipments and Central Planning. Service priority orders must be requested internally from production control, in order to define priorities in production.
15. Maintains the accuracy and integrity of plant control and assigned material planning management centers.
16. Evaluate safety stock requirements.
17. We support all company quality policies, including ISO 9001, EN46001, MDD, FDA, safety regulations, and ASME codes.
18. Recognize departmental training needs, budgets, and conduct training classes as needed.
EXPERIENCE
1. More than 10 years of experience in areas including production control, master scheduling, and/or materials management.
2. At least four (4) years of supervisory experience.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of material planning, plant control, and other production control systems.
4. Demonstrated technical knowledge related to the area of responsibilities.
5. Experience in BUYING area is a must.
