We are looking a Bid Engineering (High Voltage Projects) for our head office in México City (Polanco, Miguel Hidalgo).

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and inspiring his or her team to develope basic engineering for a photovoltaic bid. Your collaborative attitude and interpersonal skills will help you thrive as an Engineering Manager (in the Bid Department).

Knowledge Required

Bilingual Communication Skills: desirable.

Electrical Knowledge: Strong background in electricity with experience in high voltage projects, including understanding of equipment, cables, transformers, protection systems, and safety standards associated with high voltage installations.

Experience with Photovoltaic Projects: desiderable.

Testing Protocols: Ability to create and implement testing protocols for validating technology, ensuring that both photovoltaic and high voltage systems meet operational and safety requirements.

Creation of Technical Documentation: Proven ability to produce detailed technical documentation, such as calculation reports, single-line diagrams, technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics, ensuring clear and accurate communication of designs and specifications for high voltage systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365(Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for report writing, project planning, and documentation management.

CAD Software: Experience using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).

Willingness to Travel: Flexibility to travel to project sites, whether for high voltage system installations, site assessments, or client meetings, as needed, and condider long stays if the company needs.

Knowledge of Mexican Standards: Familiarity with Mexican electrical standards, and the ability to ensure that high voltage projects comply with local regulations and safety codes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the bid documents to understand the client's requirements and expectations.
• Develope a preliminary analysis to assess the technical and economic feasibility of the project.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Develop an initial design that includes the main components of the system (schematics, flow diagrams, etc.).
• Select appropriate technologies and equipment.
• Perform necessary technical calculations.
• Use simulation software to validate the performance of the design.
• Prepare calculation reports, technical specifications, and single-line diagrams.
• Create manuals and other documents to support the proposal.
• Develop a detailed cost analysis that includes materials, labor, and other expenses.
• Prepare a clear and competitive budget.
• Review all documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with bid requirements.
• Validate the design and calculations with the engineering team and other stakeholders.
• Compile all documentation in a professional format.
• Present the proposal clearly and persuasively, highlighting competitive advantages.
• Make adjustments to the proposal as necessary based on feedback received.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or related field of study (Electrical)
• 5+ years' of management experience
• 5 years Basic Engineering for Bids for large scale and domestic photovoltaic projects
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (english and spanish)
