Reports To: Chief Marketing Officer

Type of Engagement: Independent Contractor


Role Overview:

You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and platform-specific insights. This role will focus on showcasing market activity (listings and closed deals), talent and culture, and thought leadership to engage existing followers, grow our audience, and enhance our brand's digital footprint.


Additionally, you will lead the development of an Instagram strategy focused on talent recruitment and showcasing the company's culture to attract top-tier talent and build a strong employer brand.

This is an execution-focused role, requiring hands-on management of the content calendar, drafting and scheduling posts, ensuring timely reviews and approvals, and maintaining a consistent posting cadence. The ideal candidate will also have a foundational understanding of paid social strategy, with the ability to make recommendations and execute paid campaigns to amplify content and drive results.


The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for professionalized social media, a strong understanding of the digital marketing ecosystem, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver impactful campaigns.


Key Responsibilities:

Content Strategy & Execution

  1. Develop and implement a corporate social media content strategy focused on market activity, talent and culture, and thought leadership.
  2. Create and manage a compelling posting plan that aligns with LinkedIn's latest algorithm insights to maximize reach, engagement, and follower growth.
  3. Lead the development and execution of an Instagram strategy focused on talent recruitment and showcasing the company's culture to attract and engage top talent.
  4. Manage the content calendar, draft and schedule posts, and ensure timely reviews and approvals to maintain a consistent posting cadence.
  5. Collaborate with the Creative team to produce custom-designed assets and leverage corporate PowerPoint templates for social media content as needed.
  6. Write and execute effective campaign briefs and plans, ensuring alignment with sales and marketing objectives.

Paid Social Strategy

  1. Develop a foundational understanding of paid social strategy to make recommendations for boosting content and running paid campaigns.
  2. Execute paid social campaigns to amplify content, drive engagement, and achieve business objectives.

Advisor Support & Training

  1. Serve as the company's primary social media expert, guiding Advisors on personalized social media plans, including content creation and distribution strategies.
  2. Conduct training sessions for Advisors to enhance their social media skills and ensure alignment with the company's brand standards.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  1. Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of social media efforts and inform future strategies.
  2. Stay up-to-date on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to ensure the company remains at the forefront of digital marketing innovation.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support

  1. Partner with sales teams to implement social media campaigns effectively and ensure alignment with broader business goals.
  2. Work closely with the Creative team to develop high-quality, on-brand content that resonates with target audiences.


Qualifications:

Required Skills & Experience

  1. Proven experience (3+ years) managing social media for a corporate brand, preferably in commercial real estate or a related industry.
  2. Expertise in LinkedIn and Instagram strategy, including content creation, posting plans, and audience engagement.
  3. Strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to craft compelling content tailored to professional and talent-focused audiences.
  4. Foundational PowerPoint skills to execute corporate social media templates.
  5. Experience creating campaign briefs and collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute campaigns.
  6. Proficiency in tracking and reporting on social media KPIs, with a data-driven approach to optimizing performance.
  7. Knowledge of social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar).
  8. Foundational understanding of paid social strategy and experience executing paid campaigns.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

  1. Familiarity with the commercial real estate industry and its unique audience dynamics.
  2. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  3. A self-starter with a passion for social media and digital marketing as part of a broader business strategy.
  4. Ability to stay ahead of social media trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
