Who are we looking for in this role:

• 5+ years of Java development experience.

• Designing and implementing stable, performant, scalable, and maintainable backend REST services to reduce operational costs.

• Providing a challenging and nurturing environment for newer developers to thrive and grow.

• Trailblazing for the organization and the industry into modern technologies and strategies.

• Strong communication skills verbal and written.

• Applied object-oriented design principles and design patterns.

• Experience in the development of scalable enterprise applications in JSON, REST and microservices on private and public Cloud providers.

• Experience with Linux, REST APIs, Spring/Hibernate, SonarQube, HTTPS, XML, WSDL, SQL, NoSQL, and SOAP services; and familiarity with JSON, OpenAPI, tools like Postman, Insomnia, or any REST API testing tool, and modern IDEs such as IntelliJ or Eclipse.

• Experience with JUnit, REST-Assured or other automated testing technologies/tools.

• Experience in driving CI/CD initiatives and pipeline automation

• Git, GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, Containers (Docker), Container Orchestrators (Kubernetes or OpenShift), or Travel industry domain experience preferred.

• B.S. degree in relevant field

Responsibilities Include:

• Participate in relevant aspects of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, planning, testing, reviews, and demonstrations.

• Work with product owners, analysts, and engineers to plan, design, develop test automation, test, and implement information technology solutions.

• Develop Automation based off detailed understanding of the page object design pattern and its implementation.

• Support development, testing and deployment of application software releases to production and nonproduction environments.

• Define engineering best practices, mentor teams to write elegant code using Test Driven Development methodologies.

• Review and create system, software, and functional design specifications.
