Job Summary:

The UI/Frontend Engineer will refactor, optimize, and push front-end code within Salesforce Commerce Cloud in alignment with the Architect's performance patterns. Responsibilities include implementing performance budgets, auditing assets, optimizing media, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Refactor and optimize front-end code (lazy-loading, code-splitting, etc.) within Salesforce Commerce Cloud
• Implement performance budgets in CI pipelines
• Audit and remove unused or blocking assets
• Convert media to modern formats and optimize delivery
• Instrument telemetry for Core Web Vitals
• Improve perceived load with skeleton screens and resource hints
• Migrate legacy scripts to modern frameworks
• Optimize third-party tag execution
• Ensure cross-browser/device compatibility
• Automate visual regression testing
• Review code for performance and style adherence
• Collaborate with DevOps on caching and CDN rules
• Document performance guidelines in design system
• Demo performance improvements to stakeholders
• Stay current on evolving web standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field
• Experience in front-end performance optimization within Salesforce Commerce Cloud
• Strong grasp of modern web technologies
• Familiarity with CI/CD and telemetry tools
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
