Our firm is experiencing growth, and we are looking for a full-time Sales Manager to join our team for our new business line in outsourcing accounting services. This role is with our Mexican subsidiary, wholly owned by Rod & Associates and its affiliates.
Overview:
Rod & Associates' Corporate Services division offers tailored accounting services to larger clients, providing remote part-time or full-time staff accountants, along with a CPA Manager to review and approve their work as part of a bundled service package. We are one of the very few, if any, firms with our unique business model, providing a differentiated high-value product at an unbeatable price. Additionally, with the current major CPA shortage in the US, there are even more opportunities for growth and success in this new business line in both English and Spanish speaking markets. This position offers a lucrative opportunity for growth and success.
The Sales Manager will focus on driving lead generation, client acquisition, and overall sales performance for the Corporate Services business line. This role will be integral to the success of the Corporate Services business line, with opportunities for career growth as our firm continues to expand. The CEO, an active CPA, will provide training to ensure the candidate is fully prepared even if they don't have an accounting background and will assist with their professional development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and processes to drive lead generation and client acquisition.
- Ensure the team maintains a detailed and up-to-date database of prospects, clients, and the overall sales pipeline using Uplead and Wix.
- Manage one Sales Intern & one marketing Intern, as part of our Intern rotation program
- Manage the referral program and external referrers
- Manage the CRM software and B2B lead generation platform integration, and automate the lead generation process
- Assist with onboarding new clients
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the sales team.
- Develop a deep understanding of Rod & Associates' Corporate Services offerings to effectively communicate the value proposition to potential clients.
- Engage with key prospects and clients to build strong relationships and close deals.
- Thoroughly understand the needs of the client and specific details of the contractual obligations, needs, and limitations, and relay this information to our Corporate Counsel for drafting the service agreement contracts.
- Provide excellent customer service to prospective clients, ensuring a positive experience throughout the sales process.
- Understand and analyze the return on investment (ROI) on different sales and marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Prepare and deliver regular sales reports to senior management.
- Stay updated with industry trends and the competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities.
- Be process-oriented and organized, especially when it comes to tracking and managing the sales pipeline to ensure efficient and effective follow-up and closing of deals.
- Develop the company's pitchbook, sales guidelines, and elevator pitch for both client-facing interactions and for training purposes with staff.
- Stay informed on AICPA guidelines and Circular No. 230 as they relate to sales (with further training provided by the CPA Tax Manager and CEO)
- Assist with contract pricing initiatives to ensure competitive and fair pricing for our bundled services.
- Conduct market research on client needed roles by city, state, role, and years of experience to inform strategic pricing decisions.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's or Masters' Degree in Sales, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
- At least 4 years of proven experience in sales management, business development, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience managing people.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) is required, with a professional level of English proficiency necessary for client communication.
- Mexican resident.
- Proven track record of sales success required, with two references and supporting data to prove sales record.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision and as part of a team in a remote environment.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
- Data-Driven decision-maker and experience turning data into meaningful actionable reports
- Integrations with websites and Sales CRM a plus, but not required
- Familiarity with Uplead and Wix is a plus, but not required.
- Basic understanding of accounting services is a plus.
- Recruiting and staffing background is a plus.
- Highly process-oriented and organized, with a focus on tracking and managing the sales pipeline.
- Strong English communication skills required, as interviews will be conducted in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of lead generation best practices and sales strategies.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Customer service-oriented with the ability to build and maintain relationships with prospective clients.
- Previous experience as an accountant or CPC who has transitioned into Sales is a plus.
- Prior experience in a similar role within the accounting or professional services industry.

Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, generally 9AM - 6PM EST
