Position Objective:

Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of mission-critical operating systems and servers, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and security of our global infrastructure (24/7/365 support environment).

Location: Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico

Key Responsibilities:

• Administration of operating systems (Linux, Solaris, Oracle VM/KVM)
• Management of users, groups, printers, and file systems
• Patch installation, firmware updates, and preventive/corrective maintenance
• Firewall implementation and configuration; enforcement of OS security policies
• Monitoring incidents and tasks using Service Desk tools (e.g., Service Desk Plus)
• Automation of repetitive tasks using scripting (bash, shell, etc.) and tools like SolarWinds
• Design proposals and infrastructure architecture (HA, failovers, Sun Cluster)
• Comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes

Technical Requirements:

• Advanced administration of Linux, Solaris, Oracle VM, Oracle KVM
• Experience with virtualization technologies: VMware, vCenter, Solaris Zones
• Strong knowledge in networking (interfaces, VLANs, routing) and SAN storage
• Management of high availability clusters (Sun Cluster)
• Knowledge of Oracle Exadata (preferred)
• Strong scripting skills for process automation
• Experience with monitoring tools like SolarWinds

Work Modality: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days home office; subject to change)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Monthly Gross Salary: $50,000 MXN

Minimum Experience: 10 years

Languages Required: Spanish and English (Intermediate to Advanced)
