Acxiom is seeking a well-rounded Senior Site Reliability Engineer, with a focus in Nutanix, to support customer-facing systems. This role will support critical systems comprising clustered-converged storage and compute systems across multiple regions. Overall, a Nutanix-focused SRE will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining hyper-converged infrastructure solutions to support the organization's IT needs efficiently and securely and be a champion for the customer and customer solutions. The SRE Nutanix-focused individual is responsible for implementing and managing hyper-converged infrastructure solutions using Nutanix technology. Generally, this includes:

• Debug and diagnose customer issues encountered in the field
• Improve serviceability of the product by developing tools to scale our field deployment and auto-support infrastructure
• Implementation: Installing, configuring, and deploying Nutanix clusters, including hardware and software components, to create a virtualization platform.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving issues related to Nutanix clusters, ensuring system availability, and optimizing performance.
• Data Management: Managing data storage, backup, and recovery using Nutanix features like AHV, Prism, and data protection mechanisms.
• Virtualization: Implementing and managing virtual machines (VMs) and containers on Nutanix clusters, optimizing resource utilization.
• Capacity Planning: Monitoring and planning for resource usage, ensuring that the infrastructure scales to meet future demands.
• Security: Implementing security measures to protect Nutanix environments, including access control, encryption, and compliance.
• Automation: Developing and maintaining automation scripts and workflows to streamline operations and provisioning.
• Collaboration: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including network administrators, storage administrators, and application owners, to ensure seamless integration with Nutanix and other infrastructure.
• Documentation: Maintaining documentation for configurations, procedures, and best practices related to Nutanix and other infrastructure.
• Upgrades and Patching: Keeping the Nutanix software and hardware up-to-date with the latest releases, including performing upgrades and patch management.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously optimizing Nutanix clusters to ensure high performance and efficiency.
• Training and Knowledge Sharing: Providing training and knowledge transfer to team members and end-users on Nutanix technology and best practices.
• Vendor Management: Interacting with Nutanix support and other vendors as needed for technical support and issue resolution.

Specific Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in virtualization (preferably Vmware ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V), layer 2/3 networking, Linux systems administration, and storage analysis and troubleshooting
• Proficient English speaking and writing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
• The passion & ability to learn new things, while never being satisfied with the status quo.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced company with huge potential.
• BS in Engineering (or equivalent technical degree and 5+ years work experience)

What We Are Expecting:

• Assisting Acxiom customers and partners with enterprise level support on Nutanix Platform, Hyperconverged systems, virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere ESXi, Hyper-V, KVM, and AWS
• Troubleshooting on customer environment using collaboration tools like WebEx for providing live support.
• Installation assistance and Cluster configuration of Nutanix systems
• Troubleshooting issues including but not limited to Storage, Data Protection, Cluster, Compute nodes, performance issues.
• Assisting Acxiom customers / partners with hardware issues, on-going hypervisor and firmware upgrades.
• Working and testing environments as new Features and Product improvements are released
• Champion of workload and performance for the Nutanix clusters
