Description
- Manage and direct the daily activities of the following department supervisors: Processing/Master Scheduler, Fabrication and Machine Shop, Mechanical Assembly, Electrical/Pneumatic/Hydraulic Assembly, Panel Construction, and Facilities Maintenance.
- Conduct daily reviews of project status to understand the critical path and drive solutions to issues.
- Develop and review the Processing and Master Schedules.
- Discuss schedule attainment, critical parts, fabrication, and painting with the machine shop.
- Follow up with expeditors on delivery details and quality assurance with the Supply Chain.
- Resolve issues and ensure schedule attainment in the Kit Department.
- For new awards, perform a manufacturing review of the project schedule and process parts accordingly to achieve power-on.
- Provide regular follow-ups and updates based on engineering releases, material delivery, and customer-driven changes.
- Monitor material delivery for critical items.
- Provide constant feedback to the Operations Manager regarding project issues.
- Determine training requirements for manufacturing staff.
- Maintain a professional and cooperative relationship with all company personnel and actively participate in problem-solving with other departments as it relates to company objectives.
- Support and adhere to the company's EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) guidelines.
- Recommend improvements for buildings, facilities, and equipment, and ensure the building is maintained in good condition.
- Participate in and drive manufacturing line-up and internal buy-off meetings.
- Communicate weekly with the team regarding delivery status.
- Attend production meetings to drive the critical path based on shop floor status.
Profile
A successful Manufacturing Manager should have:
- A degree in engineering, business management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising at the department level.
- Minimum of 10 years in a supervisory role within a similar industry (experience in Automation/Integration preferred).
- Minimum of 15 years working in a similar industry (experience in Automation/Integration preferred).
- Strong knowledge of welding, machining, assembly, dimensional inspection (DG&T), and team management.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong computer proficiency with desired knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP Systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
