Master Data Management (MDM) Data Operations Supervisor
CDO is currently seeking a Data Operations Supervisor based out of our Monterrey office.
The CDO is the center of gravity for Fitch's data transformation, aiming to deliver modern, scalable and trusted data solutions that make innovating and working smarter at Fitch easy. The MDM squad is responsible for improving data quality of Fitch Master data, increase automation of master data management leveraging 3rd party data providers and eliminating legacy master data solutions.
The Data Operations Supervisor will lead & support the team responsible for managing the day-to-day maintenance of entity and security master data with a focus on corporate hierarchy and ultimate parent data.

We'll Count on You To:
Key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Supervise a team of data operations staff to include training to close any knowledge gaps in order to maintain Legal Entity and Security data for all downstream consumers, ensuring high data quality and adherence to policies
- Define and implement data quality checks and regularly publish metrics
- Provide content set domain knowledge and expertise to assist with business challenges and data-related queries and client support
- Establish procedures and policies to ensure data accuracy and coverage levels, and ensure robust documentation is in place and training is provided to support all aspects of good data governance
- Evaluate and recommend data definition standards to be deployed across Fitch Group for Entity data usage and interpretation
- Participate in workshops and requirements review sessions within the MDM squad to understand data-related problems and help design fit-for-purpose solutions
What You Need to Have:
The role requires the following experience:
- Experience in a team leader/management role
- Solid understanding of Legal Entity and Security data in particular fixed income (bonds, loans) and structured products
- Fundamental knowledge of databases and how they work would be a plus
- Prior experience of working with a Master Data Management tool as a user is highly desired
- Excellent administration and communication skills, with a highly organised and methodical approach to work
- Must be able communicate in fluent English
What Would Make You Stand Out:
In addition, the following skill sets are desirable for this role:
- Knowledge of third party data management software (Informatica or similar) and third party data sources such as Factset, Dun & Bradstreet, and Exchange data e.g. ICE is highly desirable
- A self-starter who can pick up new processes quickly, accurately and work in a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment, balancing multiple tasks, and prioritizing effectively
- Ability to analyse, interpret and manipulate data, with a can-do attitude to problems
- Strong MS Office skills, in particular Excel
- Knowledge and understanding of how data quality affects business decisions
- Customer centric focus
