Inventory Manager
-Manage Inventory (inclusive of Retail, ~65 stores and eCommerce, and Distribution Center inventory) financial close, processes and transactions, including receipts, transfers, intercompany transactions, inventory adjustments, inventory roll-forwards, shrink and stock ledger COGS.
- Responsible for the review and accuracy of the profit and loss statement and balance sheet as it relates to inventory.
- Partner with Supply Chain team to understand overall inventory levels, timing of inflows and outflows, days of supply, inventory by location, and sales projections to determine impact to financials.
- Ensure 3PL source system agrees to Inventory Financial System of Record.
- Partner with the Retail Planning and Allocation teams to understand retail trends and operations to determine financial impact.
- Oversight of inventory KPIs used to identify trends and determine impact and/or possible opportunities.
- Ensure closing calendar timelines are met, effectively communicating any issues cross functionally. (Inventory recon, cycle counts, ERP reports and cost analysis)
- Partner with internal and external audit teams during financial and SOX audits.
- Work with business partners to develop key reports to help manage the business.
- Support physical the annual physical inventory count and responsible for the overall results.
- Responsible for annual budgets and quarterly forecasts of retail store and DC shrink, inventory damages, lost cartons, charitable donations, and third-party technology provider expenses.
- Monitor monthly results vs. plans and forecasts and review variance analytics on positive or negative trends. Provide risks and opportunities to financial planning team.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Distribution Center, International/Global Sourcing, and Buying teams to understand variances to budgets and forecasts and provide updates to FP&A team to ensure accurate reporting.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Manage 1 direct report (Inventory Analyst)
- Ability to lead a team and promote growth.
- Communicates effectively with external vendors and outside auditors.
PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university.
- 5 years of Inventory experience.
- Excel Advanced
- Management experience required.
- Basic conversational English required.
