What YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

In this position, you will get to:

• Apply specific technological expertise to specific projects
• Work with multi-functional teams that launch products by taking market specifications from design to prototype to production. This can also cover both branded platform products and products engineered for specific customer application.
• Work closely with Sales and Marketing to partner with customers, engage in industry partnership, and establish other relationships enabling us to advance our product and technology reach.
• Translate customer needs into product specifications
• Understands and effectively applies standard drafting practices. Produces moderately difficult drawings of parts, assemblies, sub-assemblies, catalog items, tooling layouts and facility plans.
• Able to use CAD system(s) to effectively produce required documents.
• Analyze customer provided drawings, specifications, and project requirements to design an enclosure that meets the customer requirements.
• Provides drafting support and generates additional support documentation on schedule consistent with provided instructions and with minimal degree of supervision.
• Participate and lead multi-functional product development teams
• Establish test specifications and protocols
• Assist in the development of product roadmaps
• Task assigned by management

You have:

• BS in Engineering required.
• 5+ years of related engineering experience with detailed design for mechanical projects is valuable.
• Strong skills in SolidWorks.
• Fully knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes such as rapid prototyping.
• Understanding of fastening and joining techniques especially sheet metal related.
• In depth knowledge on GD&T, application and reading.
• Knowledge in Mechanical properties of material related to design.
• Knowledge of all safety codes, standards, practices and rules to ensure safety of employees, public and equipment.
• Demonstrated knowledge in complex sheet metal design.
• Validated skill in Design for Manufacturability, ability to lead teams through varied problems working cross functional.
• Demonstrated skill in researching, analyzing and making recommendations related to diverse applications.
• Previous experience reading and interpreting product drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to use logic and reasoning to identify technical strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Demonstrated ability to identify the root cause of problems/issues by asking probing questions and the ability to develop recommendations for resolution.
• Ability to use strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively run meetings and commit to results according to timelines given.
• Ability to work across cultural boundaries - global mindset.
• Ability to negotiate by collaborating with others to arrive at a conclusion using compromise, persuasion, influence, rationale, and diplomacy.
• Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguous environments and limited supervision.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstance and have the ability to thrive in a constantly changing business environment.
