Data Engineer AWS

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Data Engineer to design, implement, and optimize scalable data architectures on AWS. The ideal candidate will have experience developing data pipelines, integrating diverse data sources, and optimizing performance while ensuring security and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

Design scalable and efficient data architectures using AWS services.

Implement data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and storage on AWS (Glue, Kinesis, Lambda, EMR).

Integrate data from various sources (on-premises, cloud, online services).

Optimize the performance of databases and ETL/ELT pipelines.

Ensure data security, governance, and regulatory compliance.

Document architectures and processes to facilitate maintenance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to solve complex problems.

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (required).

Master's degree in Computer Science or Big Data (preferred).

Experience:

3+ years of experience designing and implementing data pipelines on AWS (Glue, Kinesis, Redshift, S3, DynamoDB).

Experience with tools like Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Snowflake, or Databricks.

Proficiency in Python (preferred), SQL, Scala, or Java.

Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and Agile methodologies (preferred).

Skills:

AWS platform (data and analytics services).

Relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB/DynamoDB).

Version control (Git/GitHub) and deployment tools.

Clear communication with clients and technical teams.

Problem-solving and results-oriented mindset.

Preferred Certifications:

AWS Certified Data Analytics, Solutions Architect, or Data Engineer.

Big Data tool certifications (Cloudera, Databricks).
