We are seeking a talented Product Engineering Specialist to join our specialized Manufacturing team for our Meritor area in Monterrey, Nuevo León, MEXICO.

In this role, you will have an impact in the following ways:

• This product-focused position performs established technical tasks at the subsystem and/or component level for current and future products within a given business unit or corporate area.
• Work on many steps of the product life cycle.
• Coordination and decision making between product line engineers, customer teams, support engineers, purchasing, suppliers and manufacturing.
• Provide information and recommendations that lead to decisions about quality products.
• Making decisions that move projects forward without sacrificing project quality expectations (daily project, analysis work instructions, design development)
• Applies and improves processes such as (ESW, iDFMEA, Failure Incident Review Group (FIRG) and tools such as 7-step problem solving, design review checklist

To be successful in this position, you will need the following:

• Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanics, Metalworking or related
• 5 years engineering branches. automotive product or 3 years in brake engineering
• Knowledge of Core Tools, continuous improvement
• Knowledge (IATF Standard, ISO14001 Standard, ISO45001 Standard)
• Problem Solving Techniques (5why's, 7 step's, 8Ds,)
• Monitoring and traceability of PCNs (Plant Change Notifications) for the Product and process.
• Knowledge of brakes (Desirable)
• Interpretation of plans and components (GD&T)
• Advanced English
