Maintain & support existing and coming business systems applications, including administrative and manufacturing apps
Main activities/abilities:
-Provide leadership in EDI projects for both, customer and vendors
-Interact with functional resources to understand and/or clarify requirements
-Maintain and develop documentation for change control processes
-Troubleshoot production issues
-Serve as a primary contact for all application issues regarding the software vendor
-Responsible for all Disaster Recovery setup and testing.
-Ability to work additional hours as needed.
-Participate in the exchange of ideas and information within the department
-Provide regular updates to appropriate managers
-Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems
-Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management
-Assure that procedures and work instructions are efficient and not redundant
-Offer new ideas and suggestions for improvement. Identify and implement new practices and processes
-Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively; making customer issues a priority.
-Exchange knowledge and information with other Jabil facilities to ensure best practices are shared throughout the Jabil organization
-Ensure 100% adherence to all company policies and procedures (i.e. Health, Safety and Quality
-Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
-Understand and embrace the business and IT strategic direction.
-Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas pertaining to IT systems
Soft Skills: - Analytic. Focused on find root cause of problems and pursue solutions - Willing to document issues for future reference for other team members - Customer service oriented - Ease to communicate with other IT and Non-IT team members - English. Not required to be fuylly bilingual but be able to stablish technical and bussiness communication in both, oral and writen methods
Hard Skills: - RBDMS knowledge. SQL Server preferently (Knowledge of objects like: views, indexes, tables, stored procedures, functions, complex Joins, etc). Other RBMS knowledge - SSIS - SSRS - IIS / Web Apps - C# / VB (mainly for debug purposes) - Version Control tools (any as GIT, GitHub, Clear Case, SVN/Tortoise, etc)
Work Conditions: - is NOT home-office - 7*24 availability when necessary (there is a rotative on-call rol) - Open to change work shift (whether permanent or rotative) if necessary
