Description and Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration solutions to support data-driven applications and analytics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Build and maintain scalable, reliable, and efficient data infrastructure, including data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts.
• Implement data governance practices and ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
• Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues in data processing and storage systems.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline failures, performance bottlenecks, and data quality issues.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate data-related functionalities into applications and platforms.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and propose innovative solutions to improve data processing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
• Mentor and guide junior data engineers, providing technical expertise and promoting

best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven work experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a focus on data pipeline development and data integration.
• Strong programming skills in languages like Python, R, and experience with SQL.
• Proficiency in working with large-scale data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Apache Flink.
• Solid understanding of database systems and data modeling concepts.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, including services such as S3, Redshift, BigQuery, or Data Lake.
• Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or Luigi.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., star schema, dimensional modeling).
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
