Job Overview
The Process Excellence and Productivity Manager will lead and drive the proper actions within the Americas region as a cross functional liaison between departments to improve material productivity, will be responsible for reporting and working closely with each procurement team supporting to reach all KPI's in delivery, productivity, cost and quality, this position is also responsible for driving and supporting all projects and assignments related to continues improvement and cross-functional work. The role will report to the Director of Strategic Sourcing for Auto Americas.
Tasks Summary & Responsibilities:
• Strongly drive & own Material Productivity (Savings) Roadmap as defined within the Automotive Business Unit.
• Partner with Operations & Engineering for VAVE/OMP saving implementations.
• Facilitate and lead Productivity workshops within the Business Unit with cross functional teams.
• Generate, monitor and control KPI's relevant to Procurement Americas.
• Monthly / Quarterly / Yearly forecast reporting.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business objectives, define key performance indicators based on those objectives, and provide relevant data, including analysis and insights.
• Work simultaneously on multiple projects in support of multiple business units / regions.
• Responsible for facilitating and deploying Continuous Improvement (TEOA) within Procurement Americas.
• Work with external suppliers on improving Cost, Quality & Delivery.
• Leverage and promote global processes, tools and best practices for Procurement Americas.
• Supports the development and utilization of current and future state value stream maps to identify strategic projects that improve Procurement value added to the company.
• Serve as a point of contact for stakeholders as the primary source of information relating to Business Intelligence within Procurement.
• Build strong and positive working relationships with all functional areas within Procurement and main stakeholders.
What your background should look like:
• Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management or Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering or Program Management.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Proven record on managing successful projects.
• Preferred level of expertise in procurement functions.
• Extensive experience working with multicultural and cross disciplined groups.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as Injection Moulding, Metal Stamping, Electronics, and other mechanical processes.
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to have interpersonal and political savvy to drive project teams
• Excellent project management skills
• Ability to energize and motivate Teams
• Proficient in SAP
• Deal comfortably with senior management.
• Fluency in English & Spanish (read, write, and speak).
