Responsibilities
Role Overview:
As a Product Owner at our organization, you will be responsible for owning and prioritizing the product backlog, translating client needs into actionable user stories, and guiding our cross-functional development teams to deliver valuable software solutions. Your collaboration with stakeholders, keen understanding of client requirements, and ability to drive project success will be instrumental in achieving exceptional client satisfaction and project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the bridge between clients, stakeholders, and development teams, ensuring clear communication of project goals, priorities, and requirements.
- Collaborate with clients to gather and document business and functional requirements, translating them into well-defined user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, considering client needs, business value, and technical constraints, and ensuring that the team works on the most valuable items first.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and quality assurance, to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and project goals.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, and adapt the backlog as needed based on feedback and changing priorities.
- Make informed decisions regarding scope and priorities, balancing client requirements with project timelines and resources.
- Actively seek client feedback and maintain open channels of communication to ensure alignment between client expectations and project progress.
- Provide direction and guidance to the development team, clarifying requirements, answering questions, and making timely decisions to keep the project on track.
- Work closely with the Scrum Master and other team members to create a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Continuously monitor project progress and adjust priorities as necessary to ensure successful delivery of software solutions that meet client needs.
Minimum qualifications
Qualifications:
- Studies in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Product Owner or similar role in software development projects, preferably within a third-party services context.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies, with experience in Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and development teams.
- Proficient in defining and documenting user stories, acceptance criteria, and other relevant project documentation.
- Client-focused mindset with the ability to gather and prioritize requirements that align with client goals and business objectives.
- Familiarity with software development practices and technologies to facilitate effective communication with development teams.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a client-centric approach.
- English C1, Portuguese will be a plus.
