Purpose Statement: Provide initial assessment of root cause failure analysis of electronic components and related devices on a physical (not electronic) level.
Key Job Accountabilities:
Perform sample preparation and initial assessment of defective, electronic, electrical and mechanical parts.
Write reports to summarize findings using Microsoft Word or Excel and convert to PDF as is required.
Establish standard assessment practices and create documentation.
Maintain laboratory and related equipment.
Route issues for further analysis to FA Lead Engineer.
Additional Accountabilities:
Assist in the assessment and management of third party laboratory services.
Support on generation of FA reports
Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business
Additional duties as assigned by management.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
A minimum of a Technical degree is required; a(n) Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering Technologies or similar Engineering is preferred.
4-5+ years of related experience is required; 4-5+ years of industry experience is preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.

Work Environment:
The work setting should consist of a manufacturing environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a moderate noise level.
