SUMMARY:

The System Administrator is a crucial role in ensuring that our software and infrastructure remain secure, stable, and reliable. They are responsible for monitoring and maintaining both Windows and Linux servers, working closely within the IT Department to ensure that the system is always available and performing at its best. Additionally, they troubleshoot any issues that arise to ensure that the system remains functioning smoothly.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitors and troubleshoots software and infrastructure issues, such as network connectivity, server availability, performance, backup failures, etc.

• Ensure Azure environment security by monitoring and improving current and future systems.

• Planning, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links.

• Performing regular maintenance and updates on Windows and Linux servers, such as installing patches, configuring settings, managing users and permissions, etc.

• Coordinating with other IT staff and vendors to ensure the smooth operation of software and infrastructure systems, such as resolving conflicts, implementing changes, testing functionality, etc.

• Documenting and reporting on software and infrastructure activities, such as creating logs, generating reports, providing feedback, etc.

• Developing and implementing best practices and policies for software and infrastructure management, such as creating standards, procedures, guidelines, etc.




SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • English 100%
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field or similar work experience required.
  • 3 to 5+ years of proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role
  • Experience with databases, servers, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
  • Background with Microsoft Office Suite (including SharePoint, Teams) and Exchange Administration
  • Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
  • Ability to create and maintain scripts.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems (including Windows) and platforms.
  • Passionate, Adaptable, Customer Focused and Teamwork oriented.
  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability
  • Strong experience working with Azure Cloud platform 
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus
