Who Are We Looking For?
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Director to lead the expansion and growth of our client's agribusiness, specifically in the sale of fresh produce to large retailers. If you are a strategic thinker with a proven track record in the agricultural or industrial sales sector and have experience managing teams and driving business development, we want to hear from you.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have over 10 years of experience in industrial or agricultural sales, particularly in selling to large retailers.
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
Be an exceptional negotiator with strong team management skills, goal-oriented, and results-driven.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy and Planning
Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Create and implement strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue and growth objectives.
Market Analysis: Evaluate the market and industry trends to identify business opportunities and areas for improvement.
Team Management
Lead the Sales Team: Direct, motivate, and oversee the sales team to ensure goal achievement and foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
Training and Development: Identify training and development needs, providing the necessary tools and resources for team growth.
Client Relations
Build and Maintain Relationships: Establish and sustain strong relationships with retailers and key clients, understanding their needs and providing effective solutions.
Negotiation and Sales Closing: Negotiate contracts and business agreements, ensuring beneficial terms for all parties and effectively closing sales.
Project Management
Project Tracking: Monitor and manage sales projects to ensure deadlines are met and objectives achieved.
Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes and project management for increased efficiency.
Interdepartmental Coordination
Collaborate with Finance: Work closely with the Finance department to define budgets, discount policies, and manage billing and expenses.
Coordinate with Logistics and Production: Ensure timely delivery of orders by coordinating with logistics and production teams to meet quality standards.
Reporting and Analysis
Sales Reporting: Prepare and present detailed sales reports to the Commercial Director in the U.S., providing data-driven analysis and recommendations.
Pipeline Monitoring: Maintain and update the sales pipeline, providing accurate forecasts and taking corrective actions as necessary.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
Identify New Opportunities: Seek and develop new business opportunities within the agribusiness sector.
Adopt New Technologies: Evaluate and implement innovative technologies and tools to enhance sales processes and customer experience.
Compliance and Ethics
Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all sales and commercial activities comply with industry regulations and standards.
Promote Ethical Culture: Uphold and promote the company's values, ensuring ethical and responsible business practices at all times.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. Additional training in commercial management or an MBA is highly valued.
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in the agribusiness sector in commercial management or sales roles at a managerial level, preferably with experience in selling to large retailers.
Proven leadership experience with a track record of leading and managing sales teams and achieving objectives.
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
Deep understanding of sales techniques and strategies, including prospecting, closing sales, and managing client relationships.
Extensive knowledge and experience in the agribusiness sector, including an understanding of products, regulations, and market trends.
Competence in staff management, with a focus on talent development and retention.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel) and sales management software and CRM.
Personal Competencies and Skills:
Excellent negotiation skills to close commercial deals and establish beneficial relationships.
Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with clients, the sales team, and other departments.
High emotional intelligence to handle pressure situations, resolve conflicts, and lead teams effectively.

Languages:
