We are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer to support a large-scale upgrade of the networking infrastructure across six interconnected buildings. The project involves replacing Cisco routers and switches with Arista hardware and migrating routing protocols from EIGRP to OSPF. The environment is production-critical and operates 24x7, requiring meticulous planning and execution to ensure minimal downtime.
Requirements:
Engineering in computer systems or similar
Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking
Prior involvement in large-scale infrastructure upgrades
Experience working in production-critical environments (e.g., manufacturing, logistics, healthcare
Certifications
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) – mandatory
Arista Certified Engineering Associate (ACE-A) or higher – preferred
Additional certifications in network design or data center infrastructure are a plus.
Networking Expertise
Deep hands-on experience with Cisco and Arista switches and routers
Strong understanding of routing protocols, especially:
EIGRP (for legacy understanding)
OSPF (for migration and optimization)
Experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching
Familiarity with network redundancy, failover strategies, and high availability configurations
Infrastructure Setup
Experience in rack setup, structured cabling, and patch panel integration
Knowledge of data center standards and best practices for cable management
Migration & Downtime Management
Proven experience in network migrations with minimal or zero downtime
Ability to work during weekends or off-hours to accommodate 24x7 operational environments
Preferred Qualifications:
Arista Certified Engineering Associate (ACE-A) or higher
Experience in production-critical environments (e.g., manufacturing, logistics)
Knowledge of ITIL change management processes
Strong communication and documentation skills
Work Conditions:
Must be available to work weekends and off-hours
On-site presence may be required depending on project phase
Ability to lift and install networking equipment in racks
Advanced English (conversational)
Responsibilities:
Lead the migration from Cisco to Arista networking equipment across multiple sites
Design and implement OSPF routing to replace existing EIGRP configurations
Configure and deploy Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches and routers
Set up network racks, including cabling between switches and patch panels
Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and execute changes during weekends or off-hours
Conduct pre- and post-migration testing to ensure network stability and performance
Document network configurations, migration plans, and rollback procedures
Provide technical support and troubleshooting during and after the migration
