Requirements and Qualifications
Communicate effectively (verbal, written) with internal & external customers
• CCNA, CCNP or fabricant equivalent (Aruba, Ruckus, Fortinet, CWNA)
• Expert network configuration and support skills.
•Fluent understanding of large network implementations, network protocols, and network topologies
• Experience in complex, structured cabling jobs that include interior/exterior installations, terminating and testing Cat5/Cat6 and Fiber Optic cabling
• Experience with configuring and installing Routers, Firewalls, Servers, Layer2/3 Ethernet Switches and Wireless Access Points in environments of varying complexity both on-premise and Cloud solutions
• Excellent networking skills
• Excellent in troubleshooting complex problems in various network manufacturer equipment types
• Experience with computers and software programs such as email, Word, Excel, Visio, AutoCAD and other Industry recognized applications
• Great prioritization skills and the ability to multi-task, while working under tight time constraints
• Experience with WIFI Survey and Predictive Analysis Software and tools such as Air Magnet and or Ekahau Site Survey, Fluke WIFI Testers are a plus
• IP Telephony, Multicast/IPTV and Network Monitoring Tools knowledge required.
• Employee must be able to lift switches/firewall/controller boxes.
•The position must be available to travel.
• Employees must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver's license
•Passport and US VISA is a plus
Homework/
Job Responsibilities:
• Reports to the Director of Operations in CALA
•Work within the Single Digits Operations Project Team to complete projects efficiently and effectively
• Configure, implement, and document network equipment according to Single Digits Network standards to maximize our customer's network and application throughput and performance
• Work with other engineers and other service team members to improve the network design, configuration, and implementation processes
• Manage and update the HSIA related installation documentation, providing the asbuilt necessary to effectively support the customers HSIA equipment, pre and post installation
• This documentation includes the network drawing prepared in industry standard applications, network equipment port maps and trouble ticket updates on the
Connected Life Platform (CLP)
• Lead onsite Single Digits field technicians and/or subcontractors, as required to ensure installations are completed on schedule and according to the Single Digits standards and SOW to ensure customer satisfaction
• Test and QA implemented networks to ensure optimal functionality
• Survey properties for the installation of a HSIA Wireless networks, including but not limited to signal strength testing, evaluating cabling requirements, labor requirements, equipment needs, physical site needs, etc.
• Stay current on new technologies and changes in the industry
• Willingness to travel on occasion if requested locally and to customer sites which may require overnight stays
• Work off-hours shift from normal business hours as needed to support implementations
• Be responsive to follow-up changes in standards, solutions and deployment processes
• Assist in the ongoing development of tools and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in deployments
• Audit inbound design specifications, identifying technical risks and making recommendations to mitigate or resolve any issues
• Assist with execution of conference, breakfix, and NOC tasks and projects as requested
Education / Experience:
· A bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in information technology, computer science, or a related field, is required.
Licenses, Certifications, and Screenings:
· Where/When Applicable: Upon hire, must pass background screen to include employment history, college
education, and license/certification verifications, and criminal check.
Qualifications / Knowledge / Attributes:
· Previous experience in a technical support, engineering, or sales engineering role, preferably in the
hospitality industry or related field.
· Strong technical aptitude and understanding of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, access points, and cabling systems.
· Proven ability to analyze technical issues, develop solutions, and create detailed documentation.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with customers,
colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
· English language proficiency 4/5 “Full Professional Proficiency” required.
· Spanish language proficiency preferred.

Environment:
· Office environment.
· Sedentary work that primarily
involves sitting/standing, but occasionally requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
· Frequent use of computer/keyboard/mouse required.
· Must be able to lift/move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 75 pounds.
· Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth
perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
