Position Overview

SAP Consultant – MM/WM

This role is key in achieving alignment between IT and Business to formulate SAP strategic roadmap for the group. The person should have a strong blend of Business skills and SAP technology capability particularly taking Digital innovation to the business team in improving Application adoption and Business value results. Experience and Expertise with SAP modules like MM and WM. Knowledge and experience with other SAP modules like SD, PP, MES would be a plus. Industry experience supplemented by an SAP consulting background, especially in the manufacturing domain and the ability to mentor and train functional experts. The role would drive new module implementation in plants, optimization of previous implementations and drive the utilization and integration of SAP data with other system like MES, Data Lake etc. The role is a position based in Mexico and would also have opportunities to work on global projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Closely work with corporate management to derive long term SAP Application strategy that helps business to deliver required output and outcomes using emerging technology.
• Work closely with Business Key users, Business Heads to decipher business requirement into potential IT solutions thereby significantly improve user adoption of SAP technology based on value creation priorities.
• Collaborate extensively with Business team to deliver SAP projects within schedule, cost, and scope
• Lead on digitization projects like supplier-EDI(B2B), Analytics, Reporting that would add significant value and form base of periodic review to drive business decisions.
• Follow SAP Change Management and over all governance frameworks.
• Collaborate, Guide and work with rest of IT team members across Regional and Centre of excellence team

Technical and Professional Requirements:

• Minimum 9+ years of relevant experience in SAP MM/WM and well-versed in S4 HANA/ ECC with good analytical skills along with domain experience in manufacturing industry
• Experience in Implementation and Support Projects. In-depth knowledge in the below areas:
• Master Data – Material Master, PIR, Quota Arrangement, Source list, Bill of materials, Characteristics, pricing.
• Material Requirement Planning - Configuration and Integration with, Procurement, Sales and Distribution, New strategy definition
• Procure to Pay: PO, PR, Release strategy, Scheduling Agreements
• Inventory Management: Goods receipt / Issue, Material movements, Cycle count and physical inventory.
• Quality incoming inspection - Quality in Procurement, vendor quality.
• Should have experience in writing Functional Specification, co-ordination with ABAP team, testing of new functionalities.
• Ensure seamless integration with CO, FI, PP, SD, and PM modules.
• Utilize technical knowledge of standard tables and BAPIs; experience with 3rd party interfaces and complex enhancements is preferred.
• Develop and manage standard and custom authorization objects, including transport requests and sequencing.
• Conduct workshops to gather business requirements, mapping them to SAP processes and finalizing process flow charts and design documents.
• Analyse complex business process requirements and recommend appropriate system solutions, documenting customer requirements.
• Prepare data extraction templates, assist businesses in updating these templates, and support mock cutover, data validation, and final cutover activities

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP MM configuration & WM Configuration and processes especially on Procurement planning, MRP, Handling unit Management, and inbound logistic execution.
• Integration knowledge with CO, FI, MM, SD, and PM.
• Familiarity with standard tables and BAPIs; experience with 3rd party interfaces is a plus
• Ability to debug ABAP codes will be added advantage.
• Knowledge of authorization objects and transport request management.
• Experience with S/4HANA On Prem/ Cloud with EWM is an advantage.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English
• Strong written and oral communication skills in Spanish will be an advantage
