We are seeking an Applications Developer responsible for defining, developing, testing, and maintaining new software applications to support business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications. The developer will also research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and implement features and code using Oracle Application Express (APEX).
- Proven experience working with Oracle APEX and Oracle Database products.
- Perform requirements analysis, development, design, testing, and deployment of custom Oracle applications.
- Write SQL queries, views, materialized views, PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers, cursors, collections, ref cursors, and dynamic SQL.
- Debug and maintain PL/SQL procedures and functions.
- Optimize existing applications and scripts for usability and performance.
- Ensure alignment with policies, processes, and procedures within areas of responsibility.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of the application development lifecycle and methodologies.
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, lead, deliver, and report on multiple projects simultaneously while working within tight deadlines.
- Strong action-oriented mindset, flexibility, resourcefulness, and a positive attitude to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with Oracle APEX, Oracle PL/SQL, and JavaScript.
- Evaluate new features and technologies and coordinate their implementation.
- Help end users understand application features to achieve business objectives.
- In-depth knowledge of logical and physical database design.
- Extensive experience with Oracle databases and expertise in SQL and PL/SQL.
- Fluent in English.
Experience:
- 5+ years of relevant experience with development tools.
