Job Description: IT Support EngineerPosition Summary: We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to support and troubleshoot a variety of systems and devices. This role involves providing technical assistance to end-users, maintaining system performance, and ensuring seamless IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for Windows operating systems and assist users with Mac and Linux (Ubuntu) environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Write and maintain scripts in Bash, PowerShell, or Python to automate processes and improve system efficiency.
- Manage and configure network devices, troubleshoot connectivity problems, and support basic network administration tasks.
- Use and maintain ticketing systems to track, prioritize, and resolve incidents and service requests.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems and applications.
- Document technical procedures and solutions to build a knowledge base for end-users and team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT solutions and address technical challenges.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in IT support, helpdesk, or a related role.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems; familiarity with Mac and Linux (Ubuntu) preferred.
- Ability to write and debug scripts using Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Strong understanding of network concepts, including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, or Zendesk) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to read and write in English at a B1 level or higher.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with LDAP and Google Workspace administration.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or Linux Essentials are a plus.
