SECURITY ARCHITECT

Main Purpose of the Job:

Design, develop and maintain the security architecture of the organization across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. Ensure all IT systems operate in a secure, coherent and future proof manner by applying best practices in architecture, risk management, and compliance. Combine strategic thinking with technical expertise and work closely with the CISO, project teams.

Scope of the Job:

The role spans the entire enterprise architecture, including infrastructure, applications, and integrations. It provides strategic input for secure design across IT initiatives, tools, and policies, aligning with internal and external compliance requirements.

Key Areas of Responsibilities and Accountability

· Define and maintain security architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, SABSA)

· Develop security principles, guidelines and reusable design patterns

· Conduct architectural risk assessments and threat modeling

· Coordinate network segmentation, zero trust implementations, and system hardening

· Support tool selection and integration (e.g., EDR, SIEM, IAM)

· Advise CISO and project teams on secure design and implementation strategies

· Ensure alignment with ISMS and regulatory standards (ISO 27001, TISAX, NIS2).

Skills:

· Strong knowledge of TOGAF, SABSA, Zachman Framework, NIST SCF

· Expertise in network security, IAM, encryption, and cloud security (especially Azure)

· Proficient in threat modeling techniques (STRIDE, PASTA, DREAD)

· Familiarity with ISO 27001, TISAX, NIS2, CIS Benchmarks, NIST 800-53, ITIL

· Skilled in enterprise IT and application architecture

· Expert knowledge of tools like: Eramba, Visio, ArchiMate, Nessus/OpenVAS

· Excellent communication and organizational skills

· Fluent in English (verbal and written).

Experience:

· Minimum 5 years security architecture or enterprise IT architecture roles

· Holds the necessary certifications (ex. CISSP, SABSA, TOGAF, CSSP, …)

· Proven experience in designing and implementing secure enterprise systems

· Collaboration with cross-functional teams

· Experience with hybrid IT environments and regulated industries

· Strong understanding of ISMS frameworks and security compliance
