Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Data Engineer with strong experience in SQL and a solid background in application support. This role will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing data systems, as well as providing technical support for applications that generate or consume critical business data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, maintain, and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Provide Level 2 support for internal and third-party applications related to data processing and reporting.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines, integrations, and application performance.
• Document technical procedures, queries, and data flows for operational support and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with development, business intelligence, operations, and product teams to ensure data availability and integrity.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts in data operations, monitoring, and support processes.
• Participate in database migrations, upgrades, and version control when required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience working with SQL (preferably with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle).
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, stored procedures, views, and query optimization.
• Experience in technical application support in production environments.
• Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues related to data flows and system behavior.
• Familiarity with ETL tools or data integration platforms (e.g., Talend, Informatica, SSIS) is a plus.
• Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python or Shell) are a plus.
