Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings - carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Scope of Position:
Facilitate delivery of Manufacturing Cyber Security Operation (MCSO) services to SLA. Facilitate ITSM process fulfilment including change management, service request fulfilment, incident management, problem management, event management, etc. Partner with Manufacturing Controls Cyber Security (MCCS) and MCSO Leadership and team members to manage vendors and managed service provider in delivery of services.
Engage with IT leadership in local manufacturing facilities, MCCS, and various internal teams to support Corning manufacturing.

Responsibilities:
- Facilitate resolution of manufacturing needs for business support; ability to translate requirements into technical specifications within the program toolset (firewalls, active directory, pulse, etc) aligned with program goals.
- Facilitate change management, acting as a liaison with managed service provider and interface directly with Change Advisory Board (CAB).
- Assist in troubleshooting applications and services within the manufacturing space leveraging the program toolset (firewalls, active directory, pulse, etc).
- Expected to quickly develop an acumen and intuition for core technologies and related concepts.
- Partner with MCCS for policy and standards development.
- Assist in transition of MCCS sites into operational support.
- Maintain CMDB accuracy.
- Create, organize, and contribute to reporting for team activities and vendor SLA.
- Coordinate, facilitate, communicate, and collaborate with multiple teams, both internal and external, for manufacturing support.
- Assist with facilitating and organizing global activities such as upgrades or other company wide technology initiatives.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor Arts in Information Technology, or similar relevant field OR seven (7) plus years of comparable working experience
- Firewall Engineer certification a plus
- Network Engineer certification a plus
Required Skills:
- Experience with network, firewall and application management
- ITSM process management
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be fluent in English
- Good organizational skills
