Job Title: Cisco Voice Engineer
Location: Monterrey, Guadalajara, CDMX or Queretaro (candidate must be living in these locations or be able to relocate)
English: Advanced Level
+5 years of experience
What do you need for this challenge?
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement strategies for integrating voice networks, including Genesys Cloud and Cisco voice technologies such as Call Manager, Unity Connection, and Contact Center Enterprise.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the voice communication requirements of mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate restructuring activities.
• Manage the migration and consolidation of voice networks, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations during mergers and acquisitions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve voice-related issues during the integration process, including call quality, connectivity, and voice application problems.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure the successful integration of voice systems.
• Provide technical support to end-users during the transition period, including troubleshooting and resolving voice-related problems.
• Create and maintain documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in voice technologies, and make recommendations for improvements and enhancements.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Cisco certifications, such as CCNA Voice, CCNP Voice, or CCIE Voice, are a plus.
• Proven experience as a Voice Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of voice technologies and protocols.
• In-depth knowledge of Genesys Cloud and experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Call Manager), Unity Connection, and Contact Center Express.
• Experience with voice gateways, SIP trunking, and voice codecs.
• Experience in managing voice network integrations during mergers, acquisitions, or corporate restructuring activities.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex voice-related issues.
• Familiarity with network security principles and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical support to end-users.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work outside regular business hours, as needed, for system maintenance and upgrades.
