Empresa dedicada a la manufactura de la industria automotriz, solicita Master Production Scheduler.
OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION
The Master Scheduler will manage the master production schedule to ensure demand and supply are balanced at all times. The role will lead the planning of demand, capacity, inventory, and other production drivers, and develop strategies for adapting variances to the plan. The Master Scheduler will coordinate communication and data flow between manufacturing, and supply chain management and sales, including ensuring ERP systems are properly aligned with desired business processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Master production schedule: Plan, prepare, maintain, and report on performance of the master schedule. Responsible for converting, importing, and maintaining the marketing and sales forecasts in the EPR or MRP system for use in the planning process.
- Capacity requirements plan: Create and maintain a valid capacity requirements plan that supports the master schedule.
- Inventory: Establish and adjust safety stock levels for finished goods and raw material inventories. Prepare run out analyses for discontinued items and coordinate an exit strategy with planners and purchasing.
- Scheduling processes: Establish evaluation and maintain production scheduling processes and formal master schedule review and signoff process.
- Reporting: Development, maintenance and communication of key performance indicators that are consistent with executive strategies and plant-level performance measures. Analyze data to identify causes of variances.
S&OP: Generate information on scheduled and independent demand items for use
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor's degree required. Degrees in engineering or business preferred.
Experience
- Three or more years of planning or scheduling experience
- Five or more years of supply chain experience
Skills
- Ability to collaborate across departments
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proactive, results-oriented approach is required
- Effective communication skills and teamwork are key
- Advanced proficiency in English
- Strong focus on results and continuous improvement
Preferred experience and skills
- Experience developing a master production schedule within the manufacturing industry
- Experience with sales and operations planning processes
- Capacity requirements planning experience
- Thorough understanding of ERP or MRP systems in a manufacturing environment
- Expert-level skills with MS Word and Excel
