PRODUCTION PLANNER
Demand Planner specializes in carrying out research and analysis to predict customer demand to manage inventory and guide supply chain operations. This role is responsible to keep updated the customer forecasts, gathering information from other areas such as sales, product development, and planning.
Demand planners must consider data from many sources when arriving at their forecasts. These sources include (but are not limited to) past sales data, customer forecasts, interplant orders, late backlog, new product introductions, etc.
Main Responsibilities
·Develop procedures and gather data that helps to accurately predict customer demand.
·Manage customer orders and inventory levels to ensure customer requirements are met.
·Monitor customer service levels and identify areas for improvement.
·Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
·Collaborate with sales, materials, and operations teams in the Sales & Operations Plan process, as in the definition of the production and inventory plan per product family.
·Monitor and report on KPIs to ensure customer satisfaction.
·Review plant load vs available capacity, detect imbalances and propose changes based on customer needs.
·Assist Order Entry process by validating forecasts prior to be loaded and provide the exact data to be loaded in case that is needed to increase or decrease FG inventories.
·Manage order releases to keep VMI / consignment programs in healthy inventory levels.
·Assist in the development of new products introduction.
Qualifications
·Bachelor's Degree in business administration, Operations/Production Management, Supply Chain Management or related field.
·APICS CPIM certification desirable
·At least 3 years of Experience in a similar position
·Fluent English for business conversations
