Position Summary

The Quality Manager - Plastic Injection is responsible for overseeing the quality function within the manufacturing plant, ensuring that all quality systems, procedures, and processes are effectively implemented and maintained. This role plays a critical part in executing system audits, managing customer requirements, and ensuring compliance with corporate and industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949). The Quality Manager serves as the main point of contact for customer quality concerns and drives continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish and maintain quality benchmarks and metrics.
  • Ensure all quality control processes align with industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Lead the execution of product and system audits to validate process compliance and effectiveness.
  • Oversee root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action planning for internal and customer quality issues.
  • Coordinate and maintain regional quality systems aligned with IATF 16949 and other applicable standards.
  • Represent the "voice of the customer" within the plant and ensure customer satisfaction is prioritized.
  • Lead documentation and control activities in accordance with corporate and customer quality standards.
  • Manage responses to customer audits, complaints, and portal communications.
  • Support product launches by assisting with quality documentation including PPAP, Control Plans, and PFMEAs.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality without compromising standards.
  • Train and mentor quality team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Business, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in a quality management role within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., 5 Why, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, A3, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with AIAG core tools (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience with IATF 16949 and related quality systems.
  • Prior experience managing customer portals and responding to OEM requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
