Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead our supply chain operations in Monterrey. This individual will be responsible for implementing global supply chain strategies, overseeing logistics, and driving continuous improvement in alignment with the plant vision.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the automotive sector, with a strong focus on supply chain management, logistics, and inventory optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Fully accountable for the implementation and performance of the global supply chain strategy
Operational Excellence:
Oversee supply chain performance, processes, and guidelines to ensure seamless operations and compliance with global standards.
Crisis Management:
Lead and coordinate task-force activities during supply chain disruptions, managing short-item inventory issues, and mitigating risks to maintain continuity.
Inventory Management & Budgeting:
Manage regional inventory tracking and optimization, ensuring budget adherence while improving inventory turnover and efficiency.
Global Logistics:
Oversee global logistics processes, including inter-company transactions, ensuring smooth flow of materials and products across borders.
Contract Negotiation & Freight Management:
Lead negotiations and organization of contracts with freight providers (Air, Sea, Land), ensuring cost-effective and reliable transportation.
Continuous Improvement:
Drive initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency, implementing best practices and continuous improvement processes in the region.
Tool Development & Implementation:
Develop and implement advanced supply chain tools, including Sales and Operational Planning (S&OP), stock segmentation, and production leveling, to ensure optimization of processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field (Master's preferred).
10+ years of experience in the automotive industry with a focus on supply chain or logistics.
Proven expertise in managing supply chain operations across Mexico, USA, and Brazil.
Strong experience in logistics management, freight negotiations, and inventory optimization.
Demonstrated ability to lead during supply chain disruptions and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Expertise in developing and implementing supply chain tools and methodologies.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish and English is mandatory; Portuguese is a plus.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and crisis management skills.
Proficient in supply chain software and analytics tools.
Knowledge of automotive supply chain trends, challenges, and best practices
