Direct Materials Buyer/Planner – Bilingual

Domestic and international suppliers

Preferably with experience in the electrical industry

Job Objective:

In charge of:

·       Demand interpretation and MRP review

·       Issuing direct materials purchase orders

·       Monitoring material deliveries from suppliers

·       Purchase order tracking

·       Preventing material shortages and/or delivery delays

·       Negotiating and developing suppliers

·       Identifying cost-saving projects

Activities:

·       Analyze demand and MRP

·       Searching for suppliers, development of local and/or foreign suppliers

·       Negotiating with suppliers

·       Generating purchase orders

·       Monitoring deliveries on time

·       Identifying cost-saving projects

·       Contract management

·       Release BOM

·       Cost reduction

·       Daily reporting

·       Methodology to determine when alternative suppliers are required

·       Relationship with different areas: Planning, Logistics, Foreign Trade, SAP Project, Quality, Engineering, Legal, Finance and Customer Service

Requirements:

·       Education: Bachelor's degree in International Trade / Industrial Engineering - Graduate

·       Experience: 4 years of experience in supplier sourcing, generating purchase orders for direct materials, tracking merchandise delivery, cost reduction, and continuous improvement. It is a plus if you have purchased hardware, packaging, electrical parts, and metal purchases (copper, bronze, and aluminum).

Offer:

·       Gross salary: $30,000 or more depending on experience
