DBG es un fabricante de metal personalizado que suministra componentes y servicios de valor agregado a las industrias de vehículos comerciales (autobuses, camiones pesados y medianos), automotriz, militar, agrícola y de electrodomésticos. Como una "compañía de concepto a producto terminado", trabajamos en estrecha colaboración con nuestros clientes desde el diseño hasta la producción. Brindamos creación de prototipos, herramientas y troqueles "internos" y de terceros, estampado avanzado de metales, fabricación de metales, soldadura, ensamblaje de valor agregado, ensamblaje modular y secuenciación.
Job Title: Tooling & Process Designer Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Product Design: Know design specifications, CAD models, and engineering drawings for new products.
- Development: Collaborate with the engineering and tool room team to develop prototype tooling and conduct testing to validate designs.
- Analysis: Perform simulations and analyses to ensure product performance and reliability.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including reports, manuals, and presentations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Corporate Engineering, manufacturing and toolroom teams to ensure product feasibility and market fit.
- Problem-Solving: Identify design-related issues and propose effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and technologies, recommending improvements to design processes and methodologies.
Daily tasks would include:
- Opening Part Files.
- Translating formats from customer native formats to .stp, .sldw, .IGES and .STEP
- Creating flat patterns.
- Nesting of parts on sheets for laser cutting density calculations.
- Creating strip layouts.
- Formability analysis.
- Animating assembly processes.
- Supporting plants with tooling and fixture designs.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software SolidWorks, AutoCAD and NX.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and materials.
- Ability to perform calculations and analyses relevant to design.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- English Advance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field.
- Stamping Die Design experience will be considered an asset for this position
- 2-5 years of experience in design engineering or a related role.
- Experience in a specific industry (e.g., automotive, aerospace, consumer products).
