As an EHS Coordinator, you will design the EHS strategy for PPG Mexico, aligned with corporate policies and strategies. You will ensure full implementation and compliance with Mexican regulations, corporate policies and strategies regarding Environment, Safety, and Industrial Hygiene (EHS) at PPG Mexico; always focused on protecting the physical integrity and health of workers, including associates, contractors, customers, suppliers, and the community, our facilities, property, and reputation. You will direct and guide safety, hygiene, and environmental technicians and engineers.

Main Responsibilities.

• Promote and implement, together with the EHSLT (plant EHS leadership team), and ensure compliance with the EHSMS (EHS management system), ensuring the active participation of employees and contractors.
• Develop strategies to help improve our EHS culture.
• Raise awareness among staff about preventing and eliminating environmental impacts, accidents, or health hazards caused by their work activities and our overall impacts.
• Ensure that all employees have received the necessary EHS training (corporate and legal) for their responsibilities and prevent unsafe actions according to established standards and procedures.
• Coordinate and ensure compliance with PHA revalidations following PPG requirements and applicable PSM (Process Safety Management) standards.
• Coordinate and ensure compliance with the requirements for the proper management of Hazardous Waste to comply with applicable regulations and PPG's internal protocols.
• Coordinate the existence and availability of MSDSs for the substances used in the different SBUs.
• Conduct internal audits for the different Cells and customer lines where PPG operates.
• Participation in the evaluation of the SBUs' PAC/MOC to avoid negative impacts on the Environment, Safety, and Health.

Qualifications.

• +4 years previous EHS Coordinator experience.
• Technical Knowledge: Mexican EHS legislation, industrial hygiene, industrial safety in chemical processes.
• 90% English proficiency in writing, understanding, and speaking.
• ISO 14001/OSHAS 18000 knowledge.
• Travel availability, North of the Mexican republic.
