Job Responsibilities:
Evaluate and organize environmental and health risks, critical points of production processes for quality, and implement solutions to ensure or maximize personnel safety, hygiene, and the environment (control of discharges, atmospheric emissions, acoustic studies, production engineering, etc.).
Develop action plans to improve department results.
Establish, disseminate, and ensure compliance with applicable policies within the organization (Safety and Environmental Policy).
Promote and ensure the achievement of department objectives: accidents and incidents, environmental aspects and impacts.
Disseminate department results through indicators to Directors and Area Managers.
Manage the functions of the personnel in charge: HSE Technicians and Plant Doctor.
Train and raise awareness among personnel on health, safety, and environmental matters.
Coordinate the management of environmental and safety requirements with different institutions.
Manage the administration and maintenance of Safety and Environmental Management Systems ISO 14001, 45000, 50000, and IATF 16949.
Generate reports for indicators and other results.
Provide attention and follow-up to applicable audits and inspections in general.
Apply preventive and corrective measures immediately in all areas of the organization for out-of-control processes that generate a negative environmental impact.
Follow up on critical indicators of the Environmental Management System.
Comply with and respect guidelines, procedures, and instructions related to Safety, Health, and Environment.
Perform proper waste segregation and, as much as possible, try to reduce waste generation.
