REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word).
Bachelor or Associates degree in Industrial, Environmental, Chemical or similar Engineering.
Advanced English level.
Relevant experience.
Risk matrices, safe work procedures, and logbooks.
Knowledge of procedures in government environmental departments. Safety and Environmental KPIs.
ACTIVITIES:
Conduct risk assessments in operational, administrative, and storage areas. Develop and update safety and hygiene programs in accordance with current regulations (STPS NOMs, ISO 45001, etc.).
Supervise compliance with industrial safety and occupational health standards by staff and contractors. Implement and monitor programs for the prevention of occupational accidents and illnesses.
Conduct periodic safety inspections of machinery, equipment, electrical installations, and fire protection systems.
Train staff on safety, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), emergency brigades, and handling of hazardous substances, among other topics.
Coordinate emergency drills and evaluate their effectiveness.
Investigate accidents and incidents, determine root causes, and propose corrective and preventive measures.
Manage and control the PPE inventory and ensure it is in good condition and properly distributed.
Develop and implement safe work procedures (SWPs) for the company's various areas.
Participate in safety and hygiene committees and prepare the corresponding minutes.
Maintain up-to-date records and documentation required for internal and external audits.
Conduct environmental and industrial hygiene assessments, such as noise, lighting, ventilation, and exposure to chemical or physical agents, and evaluate and analyze various ergonomic risks in different work areas.
Ensure legal and regulatory compliance, including preparation for inspections by the Ministry of Labor, Civil Protection, SEMARNAT, among others.
Propose continuous improvements in processes related to safety, health, and the environment.
Coordinate and supervise the proper comprehensive management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste generated in the company, ensuring its segregation, temporary storage, labeling, collection, transportation, and final disposal in accordance with current environmental regulations.
Management of the Globally Harmonized System. Coordinate and supervise the operation of the company's medical service, ensuring timely attention to occupational incidents and illnesses.
Implement and monitor compliance with the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) for the identification and communication of chemical hazards, ensuring correct classification, labeling, and availability of Safety Data Sheets.

Previous experience in start-up companies and established companies.
Knowledge of the agencies applicable to your project, as well as the formats and requirements associated with each permit or procedure.
Experience in plant startups and established companies.
Knowledge of Mexican official regulations and standards regarding the environment, safety, and health applicable to your projects.
