We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a leading provider of energy services based in Mexico City. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, reporting to international locations such as Ireland and Panama, and a deep understanding of IFRS, financial planning, and annual budget projections. The CFO will also be adept at tax control, cash flow management, banking relationships, financial process improvement, audit review, forecasting, and ERP financial system implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic financial leadership and direction to the organization.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports to international offices in locations such as England, Brazil and USA.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards.
- Lead the development and implementation of financial planning and annual budget projections.
- Manage tax control and compliance, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- Oversee cash flow management and maintain banking relationships.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and procedures.
- Review and manage internal and external audits.
- Lead the forecasting process to provide accurate financial projections.
- Participate in the implementation and maintenance of ERP financial systems.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute the company's strategic plan.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience reporting to international offices
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards.
- Extensive experience in financial planning, budget projections, tax control, cash flow management, and banking.
- Demonstrated success in financial process improvement and audit review.
- Strong forecasting skills and experience in ERP financial systems implementation.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
