We are seeking a Sales Engineer with proven experience in industrial sales within the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) sector, excluding automotive or end-user sales.
Objective:
Develop and promote sales growth with Original Equipment Manufacturers in the industrial sector in Mexico, using the full portfolio of products and services for the clients under their responsibility. Manage and execute the company's strategies through activities with OEM clients aimed at achieving defined goals and capturing greater customer preference.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales in the industrial original equipment sector.
- Knowledge of mobility equipment.
- Mechanical Engineering or related field (degree required).
- Advanced English.
- (We are not looking for finished product or retail salespeople.)
- Map original equipment manufacturers by industrial segment and support the development of a consistent strategic plan with a focus on bearing potential and profitability.
- Define and develop innovation and growth strategies in the Original Equipment industrial sales area to gain market share with current customers and also develop a prospecting strategy with new customers to increase presence in the Mexican market.
- Review and coordinate order planning with customers and Schaeffler Customer Service (CS), seeking to meet market needs and maintain an optimal service level, and hold periodic follow-up meetings. Follow up on scheduled customer orders and analyze production and project statistics to improve supply planning for Schaeffler products.
- Suggest and discuss action plans with management, with the goal of developing and seeking growth for existing customers. Achieve penetration and participation in new markets and customers.
- Keep OEM customers updated on new product and service developments through talks, training, and events.
- Propose the budget for each customer with management and keep the forecast updated. Work alongside management, reporting on the results of client visits, negotiation progress, competitor actions, market needs, price levels, improvement opportunities, and other activities that lead to achieving the established objectives.
- Identify and maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, capabilities, and needs of segments and/or territories.
- Keep business opportunities updated in the designated digital tool and document success stories for promotion and replication in the search for new business.
- Participate in proposed internal or external training, in coordination with the immediate supervisor, for professional and personal development through technical and commercial development and updating.
- Attend to and perform other professional activities corresponding to and inherent to the position, as directed and requested by the immediate supervisor. (Manager)
