Procurement Manager


Ensure the effective execution of direct material procurement processes, aligning with divisional and local strategies. This role manages operational purchasing activities, drives supplier performance, and supports strategic initiatives, ensuring continuity of supply, cost control, and compliance. Assumes responsibilities previously held by the Procurement Leader, with a strong focus on performance reporting, risk mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Main Responsabilities

Procurement Execution & Coordination

  1. Manage day-to-day procurement operations, including PO placement, expediting, and supplier follow-up.
  2. Align procurement priorities with production and inventory plans, supporting material availability and minimizing shortages.
  3. Ensure accurate and timely data entry in MRP systems, maintaining master data integrity.
  4. Collaborate with Planning, Logistics, and Production to address material-related issues.

Supplier Relationship & Performance Management

  1. Maintain effective communication and relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability and responsiveness.
  2. Lead supplier performance reviews and scorecard evaluations; escalate and resolve supply issues when needed.
  3. Support supplier development and work closely with Category Managers on strategic initiatives.

Reporting & Compliance

  1. Monitor and report procurement KPIs (e.g., OTD, lead time, inventory levels, shortage resolution).
  2. Ensure procurement compliance with internal procedures and external regulations, including ISO 9000, 14000, and 45000.
  3. Support audits, customs compliance (SAT, OEA, CTPAT), and document control processes.

Risk Mitigation & Continuous Improvement

  1. Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans in coordination with internal stakeholders.
  2. Contribute to cost-saving initiatives, including customs optimization and inventory control projects.
  3. Promote best practices in forecasting, PO management, and inbound logistics.

Project Support & Strategic Initiatives

  1. Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and supplier transitions.
  2. Collaborate on supply base optimization with Category Management and Operations

Skills, knowledge, experience

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
  • Proven experience in team leadership or people management within a procurement function.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills; proficiency in data interpretation and presentation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities across all levels of the organization.
  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field. Professional procurement or logistics certification preferred.
  • Willingness to travel based on business requirement
