Site Finance Manager
Full-time, On Site: El Salto, Jalisco.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Successful costing experience in manufacturing environments. Cost management (50% of main responsibilities), stablishing financial models, break even, standard cost models and data analysis models for cost control.
- SOX compliance.
- Experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Support accounting activities for site manufacturing operations, maintaining accurate costs, inventories, internal controls, and processes.
- Facilitate inventory related activities with the Inventory Control team, including analysis, reporting, cycle count activities, inventory adjustments, ensuring overall inventory accuracy.
- Review all jobs daily, ensuring they are transacted accurately and timely.
- Review material, labor, and overhead cost and variance trends, researching significant variances and taking appropriate actions.
- Establish, maintain, and analyze labor and overhead rates in line with operational budgets, and established production standards.
- Partner with Engineering to analyze and update Bill of Materials and Bill of Operations to ensure the ERP accurately reflects current state.
- Prepare and maintain standard adjusting journal entries with related support as relates to operational cost accounting and monthly inventory book.
- Assist with annual physical inventory observations across the plant.
- Support ERP implementation efforts as sites deploy new systems
- Partner cross-functionally to identify and implement process improvement projects and strategic initiatives for the enterprise.
- Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process.
- Perform monthly inventory account reconciliations.
- Tracks and explains key Operations metrics including performance vs. budget and YoY;
- Analyzes, tracks and understands costs of products manufactured at site. Conducts meetings to review margins/costs;
- Variance analysis and cost center level variance driver commentary which provides transparency and drives process improvement in organization;
- Calculates, prepares and presents inventory reserves;
- Ops and ERP special projects / enhancement;
- Leads standard cost refresh for DL + OH rate updates and significant product-level variances (material, yield, routing);
- Operations budget inputs (e.g. costs, CapEx, DL hrs.);
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with concentration in Accounting or Finance;
- Minimum of 7 years of experience within accounting/finance with focus in electronics manufacturing;
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures;
- Proficient use of financial systems and Microsoft Office tools, including proficiency in Excel;
- Excellent communication skills, with a bias towards collaboration and teamwork;
- Analytical skills and attention to detail;
- Strong internal control compliance experience in manufacturing industry:
- Fluent English (oral, written, listening).
- Multicultural experience (preferably with Chinese companies given the time difference).
