Job Description
The Regional Manager is responsible for the ground handling operations and contracts at all their assigned airports, including overseeing local passenger handling, baggage handling, cargo and mail handling, aircraft handling and loading, and load control.
- Reviews daily operational results for their assigned airports and addresses these results with the appropriate services;
- In conjunction with the airport team, directs and oversees an action plan to address all operational issues requiring follow up; where required, communicates these issues with the Director, Southern Airports and other appropriate managers;
- Leads and supports the airport team;
- Conducts scheduled and unscheduled audits to ensure compliance with all required procedures (audits take place as directed by the Air Transat Ground Audit program);
- Participates in the Air Transat Safety Management system by overseeing and assisting the investigation and reporting on all issues related to safety in a timely manner;
- Manages the ground handling contract to ensure services are provided as contracted and required by applicable laws, regulations and authorities;
- Works closely with airport authorities, government agencies and the ground handlers.
Qualifications
- College Diploma or equivalent;
- Minimum of five (5) years experience as Station Manager;
- Must be authorized to work in Mexico
- Must be able to hold and maintain an active Airport Badge
- In-depth knowledge of Ramp Operations, Passenger Service, Safety and
- Security functions as they relate to Airport Operations;
- Demonstrated leader with strong communications skills, both written and verbal in English and in Spanish (essential);
- Good working knowledge of airport automation (DCS, RES systems, World Tracer, SITA, etc.);
- Strong computer skills (including MS Office software);
- Team spirit, initiative and resourcefulness.
