R&D Director (CTO).
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership and team management role
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5 years reporting to the executive management or top management.
- Demonstrated experience in managing technical teams and delivering successful technological products.
What you're gonna do?
Funciones: The R&D is responsible for leading the software development department's strategy of the organization, overseeing the development teams, and ensuring that technological products meet the requirements of the company's vision and product while possessing the quality required for mission-critical systems.
1. Software Development Strategy:
- Design and execute the software development strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Identify emerging technological trends and evaluate their applicability to the company's products and services.
2. Leadership of Technical Teams:
- Supervise, lead, and motivate software development teams.
- Establish quality standards, development methodologies (agile, DevOps, etc.), and tools.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continous improvement.
3. Management of Technology Projects:
- Prioritize and manage the project portfolio of development.
- Ensure the delivery of products within defined deadlines, budgets, and specifications.
4. Interdepartmental Collaboration:
- Work together with the CTO, CEO, and other leaders to ensure that technological developments support business goals.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to understand market and customer needs.
5. Process Optimization:
- Continuously evaluate and improve software development processes to maximize efficiency and quality.
- Implement metrics to measure team performance and project outcomes.
6. Resource and Budget Management:
- Plan and manage technical resources and budgets for the development area.
- Recruit and retain high-level technical talent.
